Bill S.2596: Act Allowing Municipalities to Reasonably Regulate Solar Siting

On Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at 11:30 a.m., the Massachusetts Senate Joint Committee Telecommunications, Utilities and energy will be hearing comments on these bills.

Bill S.2596 co-sponsored by MA State Senator Joanne M. Comerford would allow municipalities to regulate the siting of non-residential solar systems for purposes of preserving forested lands, wetlands, lands in agricultural use or to ensure compatibility with municipal zoning.
